Emergency Department Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Asheville, NC

About the Role

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join a dynamic, high-volume team. You'll care for acutely ill and injured patients across medical, trauma, behavioral health, and stroke cases. This is a fast-paced environment where strong clinical skills, teamwork, and flexibility are essential.

What You'll Do

• Float flexibly across all ED sections as needed to support department operations
• Perform , cardiac monitoring, and acute care procedures
• Communicate compassionately using AIDET principles; keep patients informed throughout their visit
• Work collaboratively with nursing support staff, techs, and unit clerks

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency setting
• Experience in a trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality; ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work all ED areas

Required Certifications (Before or On Hire)

ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS. ENPC required within 90 days.

Schedule

Every other weekend; no block scheduling. Shift flexibility to meet departmental needs.

Dress Code: Navy scrubs
