Emergency Department Nurse

Location: Asheville, NC

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 7, 2026

About the Role

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care across all ED areas
• Participate in trauma resuscitations and stroke protocols
• Work alongside techs and unit clerks in a collaborative model
• Apply AIDET principles and focus on patient experience
• Float flexibly within ED sections as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS (all required before start date)
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work every other weekend; no block scheduling
• Teamwork mentality with strong communication skills
• Flexibility to work all areas of the ED

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Level II trauma centers or comprehensive stroke centers
• Prior HCA background
