Emergency Department RN — Salem, VA

Days | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hours Guaranteed

This fast-paced Emergency Department in Salem, VA is seeking experienced travel RNs for day shift (07:00–19:00) with a September 2026 start date. Two positions are available.

The Unit

The ED manages a high volume of acute presentations across the full acuity spectrum, including sepsis, stroke, psychiatric emergencies, and inter-facility transfers. Clinical procedures include RSI, tPA administration per stroke protocol, central line placement, sepsis interventions, and EMTALA-compliant transfer coordination.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of ER experience
• At least 2–3 prior travel assignments required
• Background in high-acuity, high-volume emergency settings preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Preferred Certifications

• ENPC, NRP, NIHSS

Schedule & Logistics

• Shift: 07:00–19:00
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Contract length: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Weekend commitment: Four weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Saturday or Sunday for days)
• No on-call required
• No floating
• Scrub color: Navy blue or white
