Oncology Physical Therapist
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Physical Therapist to join its outpatient oncology rehabilitation team. You'll evaluate and treat patients with cancer-related impairments including pain, fatigue, lymphedema, and functional limitations, helping them regain mobility and quality of life throughout the cancer continuum—from diagnosis through survivorship and palliative care.
Clinical Scope
You'll conduct 45-minute evaluations and 30–45 minute individualized treatment sessions, typically seeing 2–3 patients for evaluation daily with the remainder of your day dedicated to treatments. Your work will address musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular needs using evidence-based exercise programming, patient education, and care coordination with the oncology team. Adult patients are typical; experience with all age groups is welcomed.
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire Physical Therapy License (or Compact)
- Minimum 2+ years current PT experience
- Outpatient orthopedic experience required
- Competency with standard PT modalities (E-stim, ultrasound); device-specific training provided
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
- Prior travel healthcare experience highly preferred
Position Details
- Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 40-hour guarantee
- Contract: 13 weeks (starting late September 2026)
- Dress Code: Personal scrubs (any color) or business casual; closed-toe shoes required
- Holidays: Must work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's blocks if scheduled
- Orientation: No non-billable orientation
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
