Respiratory Therapist – Float Pool | Nights | Bethlehem, PA

This 13-week contract places an experienced Respiratory Therapist in a float pool role covering Adult Critical Care and the Emergency Department. Night shifts run 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week.

Shift & Scheduling

Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12)
Every other weekend required
No on-call required
All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application; no exceptions after submission

Licensure & Certifications Required

Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
RRT, ACLS, BLS

Clinical Scope

You will float between Adult Critical Care and the Emergency Department, managing a broad range of high-acuity respiratory needs, including:

Mechanical ventilation management and weaning
HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, and trach collar therapy
Intubation assist and extubation
Tracheostomy care and management
Nitric oxide administration
Drawing and interpreting ABGs
Chest physiotherapy (vest)
Full nebulizer therapy (albuterol, Atrovent, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, and others)
Nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning

Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Orientation: approximately 40 hours

Minimum 2 years of Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience required.
