Interventional Radiology Technologist
Position Overview
The facility's Interventional Radiology department is seeking an experienced Technologist for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shift (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), Monday–Thursday, 10-hour days, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Role
You'll support a dynamic IR team performing biopsies, drain insertions, angiograms, peripheral vascular procedures, paracenteses, thoracentesis, and line placements. You may also assist with CT coronary imaging, MRI monitoring, and myelograms. RNs do not scrub cases; your focus is procedural support and patient monitoring.
Requirements
- Critical care experience (required)
- Procedural area experience (required)
- Moderate sedation certification (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- PALS certification and prior charting system experience are preferred
On-Call & Scheduling
- 1–2 nights of call per week
- 1 weekend of call every 4–5 weekends
- Minimal floating; possible support in CT, MRI, or Radiology as needed
