Medical-Surgical RN — Salem, VA

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Med-Surg unit focuses on post-operative care in a fast-paced inpatient environment. Nurses here manage a general surgical patient population with an emphasis on wound care, drain maintenance, and post-op recovery.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Clinical Scope

• Post-operative patient care and monitoring
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Drain management
• IV therapy and infusion management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience with post-operative patients
• Proficiency in wound care, dressing changes, and drain management

• Scrub color: Navy blue and/or white (no hoodies, pullovers, or T-shirts)
