Labor and Delivery Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery nurses for a 13-week assignment on a busy L&D unit. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), providing comprehensive care across the full spectrum of obstetrical services.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Huddle begins at 6:45 AM
- No block scheduling available
Clinical Scope
Required Experience & Certifications
- Current RN licensure
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM
- Proven L&D experience with strip interpretation and OB medication knowledge
- Competency in IV insertion, lab draws, blood/nitrous administration
- Circulator experience in cesarean sections and PACU recovery for spinal anesthesia
- Ability to assist with epidural placement and manage common obstetrical complications
- Comfort with vacuum/forceps assistance and vaginal exam techniques
Floating & Flexibility
You may float to Mother-Baby/Postpartum units as needed. A collaborative, team-based approach to patient care is essential.
Dress Code
Hospital-provided scrubs.
