Emergency Department RN — Overland Park, KS

Nights | 4×12 | 13-Week Contract

This Emergency Department position offers a fast-paced clinical environment managing a broad spectrum of emergency and trauma cases, including STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and multi-system trauma. Nurses on this unit provide care across high-acuity presentations with a strong focus on proficiency and time-sensitive interventions.

Shift & Schedule

  • Night shift: 19:00–07:00
  • Mid-shift flexibility required: as early as 10:00–22:30, as late as 13:00–01:30
  • Every third weekend required
  • Float is rare and only occurs after core staff have been flexed home

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 48 guaranteed hours available
  • Start date: August 20, 2026

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • Current Kansas RN license
  • ACLS, BLS, TNCC
  • ENPC or PALS
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Preferred: CEN or TCRN, CPI

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of emergency/trauma nursing experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge of trauma care, STEMI management, stroke protocols, sepsis recognition, and

Clinical Scope

Procedures encompass the full range of emergency and trauma nursing interventions consistent with a high-acuity Emergency Department.

Dress Code

Cobalt blue solid top; black or cobalt blue solid pants; closed-toe shoes required.
