Labor & Delivery / OB Travel Nurse — Night Shift

Laurinburg, NC | 13-Week Contract | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12)

This OB unit is seeking an experienced L&D nurse comfortable working across Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and the obstetric floor. In addition to core L&D duties, you'll provide couplet care and apply basic med-surg skills when caring for postpartum hysterectomy patients — making cross-trained flexibility essential.

Clinical Scope & Patient Population

• Labor & Delivery, , antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care
• High-risk antepartum, preeclampsia, labor induction, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, epidural assistance, and fetal monitoring
• Cesarean section support (circulate/scrub), newborn assessment, and Level I nursery care
• Hysterectomy patient care requiring general med-surg competency

Schedule & Expectations

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7p–7a)
• Weekend coverage: every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• Minimum one holiday shift required
• Float within the hospital as needed
• 48-hour orientation

Required Certifications

• BLS, FHM, NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• STABLE (preferred)

Minimum Qualifications

• 2–3 years of L&D/OB experience required
• Travel nursing experience strongly preferred given current unit skill mix
• Valid RN license (state or compact)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Additional Details

• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Two professional references required (supervisory, within last two years)
• Flexible on contract length and schedule — open to discussion at interview
