Position Details
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- Location: Englewood, CO
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
About the Unit
You'll work in a busy post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) managing recovery for patients across multiple surgical specialties. The unit handles high-volume neuro cases, including stroke patients, interventional radiology, and TAVR procedures, alongside general, spine, GI, colorectal, orthopedic, gynecological, and robotic-assisted surgeries. All PACU staff float flexibly between units to support patient needs.
Patient Care
- Patient ratios: 1 RN to 2 patients (up to 3 for same-day surgery patients)
- Staffing follows ASPAN standards
- Pre-op and post-anesthesia recovery for all surgical patients
- Critical care overflow support
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year current hospital PACU experience
- PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Flexible, collaborative personality
