Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. This is an 18-week contract position working the night shift.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Night shift commitment required

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Current, active BLS and ACLS certifications (in hand at time of submission)
• Permanent Ohio license or valid compact state license (in hand at time of submission)
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director in your specialty (required; from assignments within the past 12 months)

Clinical Scope

You'll provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Onboarding

You'll complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (acceptable scores required on both; maximum 2 attempts). Annual hands-on competency modules are also required for extended contracts.

• Background check required; no open cases or license hits accepted
• BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Drug screening required (negative 10-panel)
• Extensions available up to 18 months; 6-month break required afterward
