Licensed Dietitian – Inpatient & Outpatient

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Licensed Dietitian to join its nutrition services team. You'll deliver comprehensive dietary assessments, nutrition planning, and consultations across inpatient and outpatient settings, working with adolescents, adults, geriatric, and pediatric populations.

Shift & Duration

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 5 days per week (8-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: September 21, 2026
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of clinical dietetics experience
• Current RD/RDN credential (CDR-registered)
• Missouri Licensed Dietitian State License (must be obtained prior to start; pending licenses accepted if issued before your start date)
• BLS Certification
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Clinical Scope

You'll manage inpatient nutrition support with an approximate daily census of 55 patients, including short-term acute care cases. Clinical skills include nutrition assessments and reassessments, dysphagia management, fluid and electrolyte requirements, TPN management, and consultations across various diagnoses. You'll collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.

Flexibility & Expectations

• Possible floating to other departments as needed; work remains within your scope and competency
• Expect to work some holidays
• Minimize time-off requests; any approved RTO must be documented before assignment begins
• 36 hours of orientation included
