Respiratory Therapist – Float Position
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a full-time floating Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. You will work across multiple facility locations, with shift assignments communicated 2–4 hours before each shift begins.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 nights per week (12-hour shifts)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekends: As needed
- Float Requirements: Yes; may be assigned to different locations within the facility system
Requirements
- Current Ohio RRT license (required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years experience as an RRT
- Active NBRC certification (required at submission)
- Active BLS certification (required at submission)
- CRT credentials also accepted
Compliance & Screening
- Negative 10-panel drug screen + nicotine (cotinine) test required within 12 months of start; updated annually
- Background check and BCI/FBI fingerprinting (must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing)
- Smoke-free/nicotine-free facility — no exceptions
- Two recent references from a manager, supervisor, or director in respiratory therapy required (from assignments in the past 12 months; co-worker references not accepted)
Important Notes
- All requested time off and scheduling needs must be communicated during submission and interview
- Full work history, including any prior facility positions, must be included in your profile
- Annual hands-on competency training required for extended or returning assignments
- Extension options available; 6-month break required after 18 months (facility may defer on case-by-case basis)
