Medical-Surgical Nursing – Overnight Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for an overnight assignment in Chattanooga, TN. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Days per week: 3 twelve-hour shifts (typical med-surg model)
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Clinical Scope
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, managing patients across a range of acute conditions. Responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, post-operative monitoring, patient assessments, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, quality care during night hours.
Requirements
- Current RN license (state of assignment)
- BLS certification required
- Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work independently on the night shift
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
