Emergency Department RN — Kansas City, MO

4 x 12 | 15:00–03:00 | 13-Week Contract

This Emergency Department assignment places you in a fast-paced, multi-area ED managing a diverse range of acuity levels. The unit is organized into three distinct areas: a Rapid treatment zone, a Main area, and a psych-safe pod — allowing you to gain experience across the full ED spectrum.

Clinical Scope

• Procedures include port placement and chest tube management
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support, BiPAP, arterial lines, and rapid fluid resuscitation
• High-acuity and behavioral health patient populations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment
• Strong time management skills
• Completion of a de-escalation course; CPI certification preferred
• Current RN license and BLS required
• Must be adaptable, patient-focused, and a collaborative team player

Schedule Details

• Shift: 15:00–03:00 (4 x 12 nights)
• 48-hour guarantee available
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per 4-week schedule
• 2 major and 2 minor holiday shifts required
