Emergency Department RN
Shift: 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM | Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 48/week
The Opportunity
Join the Emergency Department at the facility in Kansas City, MO. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where you'll work with a collaborative team of experienced nurses across three clinical areas: Rapid, Main, and a dedicated psych-safe pod.
What You'll Do
You'll manage acutely ill and injured patients, performing procedures such as port placements and chest tube insertions. You'll work with ventilators, BiPAP, EKG monitoring, arterial lines, and other critical care equipment. Strong prioritization, time management, and de-escalation skills are essential in this role.
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license
- De-escalation training and CPI certification (preferred)
- Patient-focused, detail-oriented approach
- Strong team player with a positive, coachable attitude
- Ability to float to Brookside ED as needed
Scheduling
- Four weekend shifts and two Fridays minimum per 4-week schedule
- Holiday commitments: two major and two minor holidays per year
- 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM shift
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
