Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) — RN
Position Overview
The facility's cardiothoracic intensive care unit is a specialized, high-acuity setting providing 24-hour monitoring and advanced care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries, as well as those with severe cardiac and respiratory conditions.
Shift & Schedule
- 26-week contract
- 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
- 36 hours per week
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
- No float requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years nursing experience; at least 2 years in CT/CVICU
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- Must have been separated from previous employer for 6+ months
- Experience in a trauma center setting required
What You'll Do
Deliver advanced nursing care to post-operative and critically ill cardiac and respiratory patients. Manage complex monitoring, titrate medications, and coordinate multidisciplinary care in a fast-paced intensive care environment.
