CCU / ICU-CCU Travel Nurse — Night Shift | West Burlington, IA

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week, nights) | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

This ICU-CCU unit manages a complex cardiac and neurological patient population, including adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring cases. Nurses deliver care across the full nursing process — assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation — in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Schedule & Expectations

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Low-census call may occur on occasion; if called in, arrival on-site within one hour is expected
  • Overtime possible beyond guaranteed 36 hours

Certifications Required

  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Clinical Requirements

  • Upon acceptance, candidates must self-study telemetry strips independently
  • A Basic Dysrhythmia test-out is administered during the first week; a passing score is required to practice in the ICU-CCU
  • Recent experience in a like unit is required — within the past 12 months

Compliance & Credentialing

  • Current RN license (verified at submission)
  • Background check, drug screen, and health history documentation required for onboarding
  • Immunizations/titers: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB test
  • Fit testing and color vision screening required
  • Professional references required at submission
