Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Austin, TX | 13-Week Contract

This fast-paced Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift contract assignment. The unit manages a high volume of acute and critical presentations across all acuity levels, with a collaborative team including CNCs, medics, and PCTs supporting each shift.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends: 4 shifts per schedule
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• No on-call requirement

Clinical Scope

Nurses in this ED perform and assist with a broad range of procedures, including lumbar punctures, intubations, thrombolytics administration, laceration repairs, suture removal, and splinting. The role requires the ability to anticipate patient needs in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• TNCC *(must be active by start date)*
• ENPC *(must be active by start date)*
• NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of ED RN experience
• Strong teamwork orientation and proactive communication style

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs
• Navy blue zip-up sweater permitted
• Pullover sweatshirts are not permitted
