Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role

You'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a cardiac surgical intensive care unit managing high-acuity patients. Your responsibilities include implementing individualized care plans, administering orders, monitoring patient outcomes, and leading discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Unit Overview

This CVICU serves a patient population of 80% post-cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure. You'll care for complex cases including open-heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT. The unit uses advanced hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheters and continuous cardiac output monitoring.

You'll wear navy scrubs and may float to MICU, SICU, medical, or cardiac stepdown units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Current Nursys verification
• Cardiac advanced device therapy management experience (IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management preferred)
• ACLS certification required at onboarding

Onboarding Requirements

You'll complete facility-specific competency assessments including specialty exams, EKG testing, and core competencies validation. Standard health screening, vaccinations, and background check required per facility policy.
