Cardiac Cath Lab RN
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week contract in a busy interventional cardiology program. You'll work alongside a skilled team in a state-of-the-art cath lab setting, supporting both diagnostic and complex interventional procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- On-call: Approximately one day per week (4:30 PM–7:30 AM) plus one weekend per month (Friday 4:30 PM–Monday 7:30 AM)
- Self-scheduling for call availability
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Unit Overview
The facility operates three cardiac catheterization labs plus an in-patient holding area and out-patient radial lounge. You'll care for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Clinical Scope
Procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, coronary angioplasty and stent placement, atherectomy, TAVR/TMVR, structural interventions (ASD/PFO closure, Mitral Clip, VSD), mechanical thrombectomy, temporary pacing, and hemodynamic support device management.
Required Experience & Certifications
- Critical care nursing background
- Proficiency with Impella and IABP management
- Ability to titrate drips independently
- Current ACLS certification
- Valid RN license
