Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist — Night Shift | Blacksburg, VA

This is a 13-week contract opportunity for an experienced Respiratory Therapist working nights in a busy inpatient respiratory department. The unit serves ICU, cardiac/medical, medical-surgical, and emergency department patients, covering a broad range of acuity levels.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Clinical Scope

Therapists manage ventilated ICU patients alongside step-down and general medical patients. Core RT competencies are essential; advanced airway and ventilator management skills are expected.

Required Credentials

• BLS and ACLS (required)
• PALS and NRP (preferred)
• Valid RT licensure

Dress Code

No scrub color requirement.
