Emergency Department – Night Shift Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced nurse for its high-acuity Emergency Department. This is a 13-week contract role working nights.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 x 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Wichita, KS
Unit Details
You'll work in a fast-paced emergency environment managing high-acuity behavioral health patients. The role requires familiarity with electronic health records and the ability to work independently during night operations while maintaining strong clinical judgment and patient safety.
Required Credentials & Qualifications
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Nursys registration
- Driver's license or state ID
- Ability to obtain facility-required onboarding credentials, including:
- Core competency validations
- EKG competency
- Skills checklist sign-off
- Background check clearance
Health Requirements
- Current immunizations (Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap)
- TB screening (PPD or IGRA)
- Fit testing
- Color vision screening
- Drug screening
