Registered Nurse – Renal Unit
Shift & Schedule
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Every other weekend; holidays as required
36 or 48 hours per week
Contract duration: 15 weeks
About the Role
You'll join the renal unit caring for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, including those requiring renal replacement therapy. The team specializes in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care. You'll collaborate closely with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to support patients from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing
- Current RN license (Alabama or Compact; no temporary licenses)
- AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience (18 months considered with highest-level license)
- At least 1 year recent experience in renal or specialty nursing
What to Know
- You must be willing to float to other units as needed
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
- Patient-facing role
- On-site position (not remote)
