Travel RN – Medical/Surgical Telemetry | Nights | Mayfield Heights, OH

This 18-week contract places you on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit caring for a diverse adult patient population requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The role involves ongoing rhythm assessment, medication administration, telemetry interpretation, and coordinated interdisciplinary care for patients with complex medical and cardiac needs.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (no pending certifications accepted)
• NIHSS certification required
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, or director) from the past 12 months — co-worker references not accepted

Compliance & Onboarding

• ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment completed during orientation; two attempts allowed to achieve a passing score
• Background check required; no open cases or license encumbrances accepted
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Pre-start modules required (average 6–15 hours); some are non-billable
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements

Extensions

Travelers may extend continuously for up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required.
