Med-Surg/Telemetry RN — Travel Contract

Greensboro, NC | Nights | 26 Weeks

This telemetry-capable Med-Surg unit primarily serves adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients. All RNs are required to demonstrate EKG competency, and the unit utilizes rapid response teams to support high-acuity needs.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Every-other-weekend and holiday rotation required
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• Float to other campuses within the health system may be required

Contract Details

• Duration: 26 weeks (no 13-week option)
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Travel experience required; no local candidates within 50 miles

Clinical Scope

• Primarily medical-surgical patient population (adults and geriatrics)
• Blood product administration, IV starts, peripheral line care
• Heparin, insulin, and PCA management
• Nasal cannula and isolation precaution protocols
• BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management
• Feeding tube and surgical drain care
• Colostomy/ileostomy management
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Previous charge RN experience required
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
