Telemetry / Med-Surg RN — Richmond, KY

13-Week Contract | Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Start: September 21, 2026

This telemetry/med-surg unit provides care for complex adult patients including those with CHF, stroke, ESRD, and post-operative needs. Patients are received from the ICU, ED, and PACU, making this a dynamic, higher-acuity environment within a step-down setting.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and EKG interpretation with prompt response to changes in patient status
• Administration of medications and treatments, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Care coordination for patients with chronic and acute cardiac, respiratory, and metabolic conditions
• Collaboration with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the broader interdisciplinary team for care planning and discharge
• Patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Accurate clinical documentation and adherence to infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active RN license (state or applicable compact)
• BLS (required at start)
• ACLS, NIHSS certification, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation (required within 6 months if not held at start)

Experience & Education:

• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg Telemetry experience required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
