Interventional Radiology Technologist

Position Overview

The facility's Interventional Radiology department is seeking an experienced IR Technologist to join a five-room suite performing a diverse range of complex procedures. You'll work day shifts (07:00–18:00) on a 4×10 schedule with weekend call coverage as needed.

Clinical Scope

This role encompasses vascular and neuro embolizations, TIPS procedures, Y-90 radioembolization, TACE, spine interventions, percutaneous nephrostomy, biliary tube placement, PCNL, IVC filter placement and removal, stent placement, chest tube insertion, and management of trauma and acute stroke cases. You'll assist with moderate sedation procedures and work with patients across all age groups—from infants to geriatrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of IR technologist experience
  • Current California state radiologic technologist license (active at time of submission)
  • ARRT R certification
  • Fluoroscopy permit
  • BLS certification
  • Associate degree or higher from JRCERT-accredited radiological program
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (required)
  • ACLS preferred

Assignment Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: September 14, 2026
  • Schedule: Day 4×10 (Monday–Thursday, 07:00–18:00)
  • Weekend Coverage: Call-based; flexible scheduling required
  • On-Call: As needed
  • Orientation: 40 hours

You're a self-directed technologist comfortable in a fast-paced, procedure-heavy environment. Strong technical skills, attention to sterile protocol, and the ability to anticipate physician needs are essential. No scheduling requests can be accommodated; flexibility is required.
