Operating Room RN – Travel Assignment

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 22-week travel assignment. You'll work day shifts (06:30–19:00), 3 days per week, in a multi-service surgical environment.

Unit Details

This is a busy OR serving a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, plastics, ENT, oral surgery, ophthalmology, and solid organ transplant. You'll support diverse procedures and work alongside IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and other clinical support services.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience prior to travel
  • Current RN license (Georgia or Compact state)
  • Hard-stop requirements: You must have demonstrated experience in neurosurgery, transplant, general surgery, gynecology, and orthopedic surgery. Candidates without these specialties will not be considered.
  • BLS certification
  • Travel experience required

Key Details

  • Floating: Within facility scope of practice and to outpatient settings as needed
  • Weekends & Call: Variable (to be discussed during interview)
  • Time Off: Maximum 7 days per contract; all RTO finalized at submission. Blackout dates: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3 (no holiday RTO approved during these periods)
  • Orientation: 36 hours (non-billable, duration varies by contract length)
  • Compliance: Full compliance required before start date; documentation due Tuesday prior to your first shift

Clinical Scope

You'll perform a range of procedures including craniotomy, spinal fusion (ALIF, XLIF), joint replacement, organ donation, solid organ transplant, and general surgical procedures.

This assignment requires a clinically skilled, detail-oriented RN ready for a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
