Schedule
- 2 x 12-Hour Nights: Saturday & Sunday, 19:00–07:00
- 1 x 12-Hour Mid: Monday, 15:00–03:00
- No weekend RTO permitted
Unit Overview
This is a fast-paced CT role embedded in a high-volume emergency department serving a full age range — infants through geriatrics. Daily scan volume runs 150–200 studies across four CT rooms. The unit manages routine ED imaging alongside Code Stroke activations and trauma cases. Staffing is lean on nights and weekends, so candidates must be self-sufficient and comfortable with high-acuity, high-throughput workflows.
Clinical Scope
- Abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Brain perfusion, CTAs (vascular, coronary, pulmonary), multiplanar reconstruction
- IV contrast administration and peripheral IV starts
- Isolation/PPE protocols; radiation safety compliance
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a high-volume acute care setting
- scanner proficiency is required — candidates without will not be considered
- GE scanner experience also required
- Experience in inpatient, ER, and adult ICU environments
- Certifications: ARRT(R)(CT), BLS
- NC or Compact RN license (pending accepted at submission)
Preferred Skills
- PACS, contrast administration, outpatient CT, IV starts

- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (excluding holidays); no RTO first week; no additional RTO requests after signing
