Orthopedic & Medical-Surgical Nursing – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the orthopedic and medical-surgical units for a 13-week night shift assignment (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in Bowling Green, KY. This is a full-time role supporting high-quality patient care across two combined units.
Unit Details
You'll care for orthopedic and post-surgical patients in a collaborative environment. Typical patient ratios are 6:1. The unit is supported by PCTs, SNEs in tech roles, and unit secretaries during day hours. Physicians perform occasional bedside procedures on the unit.
Scheduling & Expectations
- Schedules work in 4-week increments
- Full-time staff work 4 weekend shifts per month (e.g., 3 Saturdays and 1 Sunday)
- Float assignments to other inpatient units, CCU, and ED as needed
- All experience levels welcome
Requirements
- Valid RN or LPN license
- BLS certification (required)
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and patient-centered care mindset
- Ability to manage a patient load independently
Dress Code
Scrub top and bottoms required. Long sleeve shirt or scrub jacket permitted underneath. No fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, denim, camouflage, or shoes with holes.
