Interventional Radiology Technologist | Asheville, NC
Shift: 07:30–16:00 | Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
This is a hands-on IR Tech role in a high-volume Interventional Radiology department performing a broad range of vascular, neurointerventional, and interventional oncology procedures. The department runs multiple suites with both single-plane and biplane imaging capabilities, as well as an invasive CT scanner on-unit.
Typical Procedures Include:
- Dialysis access (Permcaths, fistulagrams)
- Nephrostomy tubes, arteriograms, embolizations
- Y-90, G-tubes, TIPS, Inari cases
- Cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipeline embolizations
- Mechanical thrombectomies, vertebroplasties
Required Skills:
- Previous Interventional Radiology experience — must be able to scrub and circulate
- Previous neurointerventional Radiology experience (scrub and circulate) — required
Preferred Skills:
- Vascular OR experience
- Cath Lab experience
- VI Registered
Required Certifications: BLS
Schedule & Expectations:
- Every 7th weekend on call
- One night secondary call per week
- Float area: Vascular OR
