Emergency Department — Travel RN / Paramedic | Independence, MO

Shift: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM | 4 × 12-hour days

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 48/week

This fast-paced Emergency Department opportunity is ideal for clinicians who thrive under pressure and bring strong adaptability to a high-volume environment.

Clinical Scope

The ED manages a broad range of acute and emergent presentations, with staff performing:

• IV starts and phlebotomy
• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Rapid assessment and stabilization across all acuity levels

The department is staffed around the clock with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, Advanced Paramedics, and Emergency Department Technicians.

Required Certifications

• *RN:* BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
• *Paramedic:* BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI
• *All staff:* BLS, CPI

Ideal Candidate

• Adaptable team player who remains positive and focused in high-pressure situations
• Previous ED, medic, or high-acuity clinical experience strongly preferred

Dress Code

• RN & Medic: Gray scrub top, black or gray scrub bottoms
• EDT/Secretary: Caribbean blue scrub top, Caribbean blue or black scrub bottoms
• Approved colored T-shirts permitted under a scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket
