Registered Nurse – ICU
Location: Fairfield, CA
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced ICU Nurse to join the intensive care unit at the facility. You'll provide direct, comprehensive care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced life support. This role demands clinical expertise, strong assessment skills, and the ability to respond quickly to patient changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to high-acuity patients in an ICU setting
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition; escalate care as needed
- Manage and troubleshoot advanced equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
- Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
- Perform rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on condition and treatment
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (California)
- Minimum 1+ year of ICU/critical care experience
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- NIHSS certification
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Proficiency with critical care equipment and hemodynamic monitoring
Preferred
- CCRN certification
- BSN
Schedule Details
- Night shifts with on-call and floating responsibilities as needed
- Double-time (DT) after 12 hours per day; overtime (OT) after 40 hours per week
- Willingness to float to sister facility required
