Clinical Nurse – ICU

Position Overview
The facility's ICU is seeking a compassionate, skilled Clinical Nurse to deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients. You'll work in a dynamic environment managing high-acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring, advanced life support, and rapid clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients; assess, monitor, and respond to changes in condition
- Manage advanced equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
- Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
- Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and care needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Follow infection control and safety protocols for high-acuity patient populations
- Support a patient-centered, relationship-based care model
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience with critical care equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
Preferred
- CCRN certification
- NIHSS certification
Schedule Details
- Day shift (7 AM – 7 PM)
- Willing and able to float to sister facility as needed
- Accelerated work schedule; daily time off (DT) after 12 hours; overtime after 40 hours/week
