Cardiac Catheterization Lab – Scrub/Monitor Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced cardiac cath lab technologist to join a busy interventional cardiology program. You'll scrub and monitor a wide range of diagnostic and complex interventional procedures in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Four 10-hour shifts, 07:30–18:00
- Call: 1–2 nights per week
- Weekends: 2 weekends per 6-week period
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 16 hours nonbillable, beginning Monday with online training
Clinical Scope
You will scrub and monitor procedures including:
- EP device implants (pacemakers, ICDs, Micras)
- Diagnostic and complex interventional cases
- Left and right heart catheterizations
- Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and PTCA
- IABP placement/removal
- Rotablator atherectomy
- Structural cases (preferred)
Requirements
- ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS certifications
- Current license in-hand at submission
- Ability to scrub EP devices and diagnostic/interventional cases
- Proficiency in sterile technique, field maintenance, and isolation precautions
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Willingness to complete drug screen within 12–14 days prior to start
- Facial hair must be trimmed/removed for fit testing compliance
Eligibility
Must maintain permanent residence 100+ miles from the facility's service area.
