Travel Registered Nurse – Renal Med-Surg

Position Overview

Join a busy renal and medical-surgical unit as a night shift RN. You'll deliver comprehensive care to adult patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. This high-acuity unit requires continuous monitoring, frequent assessments, and close collaboration with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours/week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Manage renal patients including those with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Float as needed to similar Med-Surg units (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, ED boarders)
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience (renal experience strongly preferred)
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Competency test on Day 1 (mandatory)
