Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department seeks an experienced RN to join the team on a 13-week contract. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients across all acuity levels and age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessments and using evidence-based protocols
• Stabilize and intervene for patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per provider orders
• Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and EMS personnel
• Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain infection control and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Oklahoma (or compact license)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Prior experience in emergency nursing, critical care, or high-acuity settings preferred

Preferred Certifications

• TNCC and ENPC (required within specified timeframe after hire)

• Excellent communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
• Competency in trauma and cardiac care
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting throughout shift

• Location: Lawton, OK
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
