Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)

Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

About the Unit

This is a scattered-bed inpatient unit serving swing bed, detox, and medical patients across all age groups — adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The unit operates with an average daily census of 19. Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, ia, chest pain observation, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, ETOH withdrawal, opiate withdrawal, and debility. The majority of the census consists of subacute patients requiring rehab for debility, wound care, or long-term IV antibiotics.

Respiratory therapy services are available Monday–Friday, days only. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams. Bariatric equipment is available as needed.

Role Expectations

• House Supervisor oversight of nursing care delivered across all units
• Float required across the organization
• Responsibilities include code management, rapid response, crisis intervention, sentinel event monitoring, discharge AMA, and regulatory compliance (DPH, TJC, OSHA)
• LPN support available for medication pass and swing/ALC bed assignments

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active NY RN license required at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Scrubs required
