Postpartum Nurse – 90-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Postpartum Nurse for a 90-week contract assignment on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll work in a postpartum unit providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns during the critical early postpartum period.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 90-week contract
- Start date: September 27, 2026
Clinical Scope
In this role, you will:
- Monitor maternal and neonatal recovery and vital signs
- Provide education and support to new mothers and families
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to ensure safe, quality care
- Document patient information using the facility's EHR system
- Wear ceil blue scrubs
Requirements
- Active RN license (verification via Nursys required)
- Valid driver's license/state ID
- Current vaccinations: MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B
- Ability to pass fit test for respiratory protection
- Successful completion of required onboarding assessments, including specialty exam, EKG exam, skills checklist, and core competencies
- Clean criminal background check and drug screen results
- Two professional references
