Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse for a 13-week contract. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies. This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to deliver high-quality care appropriate to each patient's physical and developmental needs.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Hours: 40 guaranteed per week
- On-call: Schedule to be determined by facility
- Weekends: Required; schedule to be determined by facility
- Start Date: September 15, 2026
Requirements
- 2+ years recent General Operating Room experience (required)
- Proficiency in GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics (required)
- RN license (Maryland state)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- COVID vaccination required (state record)
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Willing to work facility's schedule without restrictions
- Must complete 48-hour compliance prior to start
Required Documentation
- Current RN license verification (less than 30 days old)
- Active BLS certification
- Skills checklist specific to OR discipline
- Two supervisory references (one from last 6 months, one from last 12 months)
- Resume with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- COVID vaccination documentation
