RN – Medical-Surgical Unit

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Tulsa, OK

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

About the Role

You'll provide direct nursing care on a general surgical unit serving adult patients, including those requiring telemetry monitoring. Your responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating care across disciplines, communicating patient status to the healthcare team, and supporting discharge planning.

Clinical Environment

The unit manages post-operative and general surgical patients with varying acuity levels. You'll work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6, supported by PCTs, a unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor technicians for telemetry patients.

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license (verification required via Nursys)
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period and holidays as needed

Onboarding Requirements

You'll complete competency exams, skills checklists, and health screenings (including vaccinations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella, and TB screening). Professional references and background check required.
