Radiation Therapist – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Radiation Therapist for a day shift role in a busy oncology program. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career therapist to gain broad clinical experience across multiple treatment modalities in a supportive team environment.
Schedule & Assignment
- Shift: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (5 days/week)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
- On-Call: No
- Weekends: No
- No Float Required
Clinical Scope
You'll work with an adult patient population (no pediatrics) in a comprehensive cancer treatment program offering brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and fractionated stereotactic radiation therapy (FSRT). You'll rotate among all treatment modalities and equipment, including CT simulation with contrast and motion management protocols. Daily patient load averages 20 patients per therapist.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license (compact license required at submission)
- ARRT(R) certification
- BLS and Texas Medical Board licensure
- Minimum 1 year radiation therapy experience
- Ability to provide 2 professional references (within last 3 years)
Key Competencies
External beam therapy, IMRT, simulation, intracavity/interstitial administration, CBCT imaging, patient/family teaching, radiation safety, and emergency case management.
