Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse/Tech
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse or Cath Lab Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Houston, TX. This role offers day shift hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) on a 4×10 schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Unit Description
You'll join a cardiac catheterization lab with 3 procedure rooms. The team operates with consistent day-shift staffing and on-call night coverage. Each procedure involves a focused team of 3 members caring for one patient, fostering a collaborative, efficient environment.
Clinical Scope
The lab performs a full range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including:
- Left and right heart catheterizations
- Pacemaker and ICD insertions
- Watchman procedures
- Interventional vascular work
- Electrophysiology ablations (PFA)
Requirements
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Electrophysiology experience (preferred)
- Strong team player mentality with flexibility
Scheduling & Expectations
- One full weekend plus two weekdays per four-week cycle (10 shifts/cycle)
- Float to pre- and post-catheterization areas as needed
- Hospital-provided sky blue scrubs
