Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shift work in a respiratory care department. This is a 8–12 week contract with potential extension.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 4 x 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Weekends: As needed
- Float: May be required to other facility locations as staffing needs arise
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT
- Active Ohio RRT license (in hand at time of submission)
- NBRC certification and BLS (current and active; no pending certs)
- CRT credential also accepted
- Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in respiratory care (from assignments within the past 12 months)
- Complete work history, including any prior positions, required in application
Compliance & Pre-Employment
- Negative 10-panel drug screen with nicotine test (cotinine) required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- BCI/FBI background check must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Nicotine-free facility—no exceptions
- Annual hands-on competency modules required for continued contract (up to 4 billable hours per year)
Contract Terms
- Initial contract: 8–12 weeks
- Extensions available up to 18 months; thereafter, a 6-month break required (may be waived case-by-case)
- All scheduling requests and time-off needs must be communicated at submission and during interview
