Endoscopy RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week contract in Asheville, NC. You will work in a busy endoscopy department performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across adult and pediatric patient populations.
Schedule
- Four 9-hour day shifts per week, Monday–Friday
- Variable start times: 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM depending on daily assignment
- One weeknight call shift per week (ends at 7:00 AM)
- Two 24-hour weekend call shifts per 6-week period
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Green surgical scrubs provided (navy blue also acceptable)
Clinical Scope
You'll support procedures including:
- Adult and pediatric EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and bronchoscopy
- Advanced procedures: ION navigational bronchoscopy, stent placements (esophageal, duodenal, colonic), PEG placement, tracheostomy placement, pulmonary cryo therapy, and foreign body removal
Work in pre-op, procedure rooms, or PACU with variable patient ratios depending on case volume.
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact State nursing license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Prior endoscopy experience required
Preferred
- Pediatric endoscopy experience
- Pulmonary endoscopy experience
- Endoscopy tech background
