Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We're seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment at the facility's cardiac catheterization lab. You'll work in a fast-paced environment supporting both diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, as well as endovascular peripheral interventions.

Schedule & Location

• Shift: 4x10-hour days (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) or 5x8 (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) as needed
• On-call: 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks (includes holidays)
• Contract: 13 weeks with possible extension
• Start Date: ASAP

Required Experience

• 1.5–2 years in diagnostic radiology or cath lab setting
• Travel experience required
• Work history in diagnostic or interventional cardiac cath labs, or special procedures

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT (R) registration and WV Medical Imaging License
• ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)
• ARRT CI preferred

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor hemodynamic status during procedures
• Scrub and maintain sterile field during endovascular procedures
• Set up equipment, prep access sites, and manage vascular closure systems
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately
• Perform room circulation duties and maintain PACS and equipment
• Document procedures accurately

Technical Skills

Cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker insertion, angiography, and IVC filter placement.
