Operating Room RN – 3x12 Day Shifts

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an Operating Room RN to join its surgical team on a 13-week contract. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week (9a–9p or 11a–11p), with on-call responsibilities and every-other-weekend coverage expectations.

Clinical Scope

This role encompasses a broad range of surgical specialties:

• Cardiac and General Surgery (required experience)
• Vascular procedures (AV fistulas/grafts, aortic surgeries and bypasses, carotid procedures, embolectomies)
• Orthopedic (arthroscopies, total joint replacements)
• General procedures (colorectal resections, laparoscopic-assisted surgeries, Whipples, liver resections, thyroids, mastectomies)
• ENT (tracheostomies, laryngectomies, radical neck dissections)
• Urology (cystectomies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies)
• Robotics (gynecologic, colorectal, hernias)
• Gynecologic (abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies, anterior/posterior repairs)

You will perform both circulating and scrubbing duties.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year in-specialty required
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending acceptable)
• Two manager/charge nurse references from the past 2 years

Call & Schedule

• 1 day of call per week; 1–2 weekends per 4–5 week schedule
• 30-minute response time when on call
• Major holidays covered by call shifts (emergencies only)
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week

• Royal blue or white scrubs

• 100-mile radius requirement (75–99 miles considered case-by-case)
