Labor & Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract role.
Unit Details
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage laboring patients through vaginal delivery and induction of labor
- Circulate for cesarean sections
- Perform sterile vaginal exams, IV insertion, lab draws, foley catheter placement
- Assist with epidural management
- Care for postpartum and neonatal patients
- Handle IUFD cases
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hospital-based L&D experience (required)
- Ability to circulate for cesarean sections (required)
- Current Kentucky RN license or compact license at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications (all required)
Schedule & Details
- Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Facility-provided scrubs
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of L&D experience
Strong team player mentality essential.
